Further Meanderings of a Snake Meadow Editor

The author is a 35-year member of the popular and well-known Snake Meadow Club located in the towns of Plainfield and Killingly in Eastern Connecticut. For 28 of those years he edited the club’s newsletter, Snake Meadow Happenings. Several of those columns involved experiences at the club, hunts throughout Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and New Brunswick. His first book, Meanderings of a Snake Meadow Editor, is still in print and can be purchased on-line. Favorable reviews can also be found.
Several chapters of Further Meanderings involve unique bird hunting experiences. Many contain the author’s views on rare, out-of-print and valuable upland sporting books, which total about 350 volumes in his collection. A few chapters reference images of sporting artists of past years which are personal favorites, i.e. Ogden Pleissner, A. Lassell Ripley and several others.
